We offer three different service opportunities to our clients. Each is designed to fully support the various aspects of home delivery operations. We’ve branched outside the traditional client/3rd party relationship and streamlined vital functions of daily operations into centralized resources.

Our Systems model is specifically designed to integrate every vital aspect of home delivery into one unified structure. Operating with multiple logistics carriers means minimal uniformity since every carrier operates differently. These inconsistencies are unnecessary. Every customer deserves the benefit of a single best practice solution and an excellent delivery experience. UST’s Support Center provides the expertise you need to streamline delivery experiences and handle all delivery types. Furthermore, it provides the necessary information for effective decision making and operational insight.

How We Got Here

Our CEO, Scott Ramsey, started UST in 1998 as the driver of a single truck. By 2001, we began service for our first large retail client. Over the course of the next decade, we on-boarded additional large retailers spreading our footprint across the country. As of today, UST has evolved into an industry best company hitting one million deliveries in a calendar year. It’s a privilege to partner with retailers to change the face of home delivery one customer experience at a time.

We know our people are the foundation of UST’s success. We’re incredibly passionate about inspired growth and developing our team members for leadership positions. While education is important, it’s only one of the factors we consider when making a hire, at any level. We believe experience and savvy are incredibly vital characteristics. The UST Family is well-rounded with a variety of experiences, backgrounds, and life skills.

(Side Story: As of today, three of our leading directors all started as assistants, dispatchers, or helpers. Additionally, the driving force behind our innovative USTAPP is the brainchild of our Director of IT who once worked as a dispatcher. We’re intentional about discerning, training, and developing our people because we believe we get better together.)

Our team members work hard and have fun together. We’re incredibly proud and thankful for the individuals we employ, their hearts for the community, and their diligence to do their best work for our client partners. To learn more click here.

Engaging Culture

UST Community Outreach

UST is involved in various charitable partnerships and community initiatives. Our team is comprised of compassionate individuals who care about others and giving back.

We produce an annual Christmas event, called the B&E, where we partner with local non-profits and spend the day giving gifts and meeting specific needs within the community. (Side story: Our current legal counsel attended a B&E event as a guest and was so impressed she joined our team and has been with us since 2015. What a privilege to know our team members inspire individuals to want to become a part of the UST Family.)

We also provide opportunities for our team members to participate in various volunteer events throughout the year. Some of these events include HOG Day (Hands on Greenville) and Ronald McDonald fundraising events in association with the Red Shoe Society.

Additionally, our CAO is also on the board for The Family Effect, a local non-profit working to reduce addiction and provide programs and resources for recovering individuals and their families. The UST Family is proud to support and serve alongside The Family Effect, United Way, White Horse Academy, and other organizations.

Some of Our Favorites

White Horse Academy

The White Horse Academy

UST partners with The White Horse Academy, a local non-profit providing residential treatment for boys suffering from addiction between the ages of 13 and 17. This program offers a range of counseling and treatment activities to bring positive changes into the lives of these young men. UST team members can be found serving food on Taco Night or taking a group of guys out for a Swamp Rabbits hockey game.

The Family Effect

The Family Effect is another local non-profit working to reduce addiction and provide programs and resources for recovering individuals and their families. UST sponsors some of these families residing in The Family Effect transitional housing.

Please watch the video below to see how The Family Effect is positively impacting lives daily: Heal a family, and we all get better.

All funds raised were used to purchase items from each families’ wish lists, including grocery gift cards and holiday decorations. Additionally, the UST Family matched donations dollar-for-dollar and purchased items on Serenity Village’s wish list (such as diapers, clothing, formula, and toiletries).

Hurricane Relief

Hurricane Relief

The 2017 hurricane season had a huge impact on thousands across the globe, including several of our team members at UST. These men worked around the clock to continue serving our customers with excellence, while also taking care of their own families in the USA and in Puerto Rico.

UST was so inspired by their courage and hard work, we partnered with one of our clients and pledged a donation match. We watched as the UST Family came together to make a difference for our team members and their families.

Disney & Mainstay

After Columbia, SC experienced a historic flooding, UST gifted a Disney trip to a family with five-year-old twins who were displaced from their home due to excessive water damage.

UST partnered with Mainstay, a women’s and children’s domestic violence shelter in Hendersonville, NC, to paint and lay carpet for a children’s playroom. The UST Family also provided Christmas gifts to a woman and her two children who previously transitioned from the shelter to independence. One of these gifts was an airline trip to Micronesia, so the woman could visit her mother who was in poor health.
